ZNA Services (New York, NY) seeks a Senior Investment Analyst to be responsible for implementation of centrally driven investment strategies in Zurich's insurance balance sheets in Latin America, with focus on achieving superior returns through efficient execution, good management of risks and optimal construction of Zurich's insurance investment portfolios. Specific duties include: support Regional Investment Management Latin America (RIM) in preparation for ALMICs and help monitor that centrally driven decisions are implemented in a timely manner and documented properly, whilst taking into consideration any local regulatory constraints; together with RIM Latin America and local Chief Investment Officers, help formulate and implement a bottom-up Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) for the local investment units; review the portfolio mandates (IMAs), if applicable, and investment guidelines applying to internal and external asset managers to ensure effective implementation of SAA decisions, as well as compliance with local statutory requirements, the Zurich Risk Policy (ZRP) and other constraints; regularly review and monitor performance of portfolios and mandates with asset managers and define remedial actions where required; work with local BUs in the investment income and expense planning and controlling processes; explanation of actual investment income and expense variances from plan; support the management of realized gains/losses that impact Group P&L; monitor external Asset Managers, where the company decides to out-source; support the oversight and production of accurate and timely investment reports covering portfolio performance and characteristics, top exposures, credit and structured watch lists and quarterly presentations to Business Units; provide ad hoc reporting and data management to support business division and Strategy Implementation analysis and projects; work with ZGIM Americas, Strategy Implementation (SI), Strategy Development (SD), Market Strategy and Macroeconomics (MSME), Finance and Operations (FO), and BU colleagues to ensure data integrity for asset benchmarks, liability cash flow projections, etc. feeding Investment Management (IM) systems (GIDW, ALMR, PAMS, PLUTO, SATURN); using existing ISA systems, supplemented by spreadsheet analysis where necessary, summarize asset-liability performance by portfolio mandate and business division; support asset impairment process by identifying candidate investments for analysis, coordinating analysis with asset managers, and preparing reporting materials for BUs and accounting consideration; support ad-hoc analysis of investment opportunities, investment manager selection, business division actions (e.g., strategic actions, financial management activities, product changes), and potential new portfolio mandates, analyzing risk and return trade-offs and impact on accounting results, regulatory capital requirements, and liquidity needs; contribute to projects (such as mergers and acquisitions) requiring investment related input; consolidate Latin America Regional information and data to be presented in Regional ALMICs for Zurich entities. Occasional domestic and international travel is required. Option to work remotely is available.

Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, or a closely related field of study, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Business Performance Controller, Investment Operations Specialist, or similar investment accounting, financial planning, actuarial and macroeconomics position. Must have 3 years of experience with each of the following: working with local statutory accounting and IFRS accounting; working with 2 or more of the following Investment Management Systems: GIDW, ALMR, Saturn, Pluto, and Pams. Specific experience must also include: working at asset management company or investment department of an insurance company; portfolio management, financial analysis, macroeconomic analysis and financial risk; working with Latin America capital markets: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Ecuador and/or Colombia.
