Senior Landscape Architect

What We're Looking For: 

BargeDesign Solutions is looking for a Sr. Landscape Architect in our Atlanta, GAoffice. This position is a great leadership opportunity in our growinglandscape architecture/planning practice. The LA/P group currently consists of19 Landscape Architects and Planners located across Barge's geographicfootprint. This person will have a minimum of 10-12 years of experience withina Landscape Architecture focused practice and is looking for challenges thatinclude leading a creative and thoughtful design process from concept to build,contributing to an innovative design culture, client relations and development,staff mentoring and personal development.

Responsibilities:

• Serves as either the technical or design lead on complex, often, multi-disciplinary teams utilizing LA staff

• Contributes design expertise in detail design development, construction documentation and construction administration experience
• Participates in or leads one or two internal groups focused on achieving continuous improvement within the discipline
• Participates in or leads marketing, business development efforts
• Develops Scope of Work documents for multi-disciplinary projects to include fee development.
• Leads consensus building efforts with public participants.
• Provides interpretation of municipal codes and their application to particular projects

 Education & Experience Qualifications: 

• Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university
• 10 years+ experience in a Landscape Architecture focused practice
• Professional registration within current state of residency and ability for reciprocity in new resident state within six months of hire
• A team leader able to lead and mentor both younger staff and professional peers through complex projects
• Be relationship driven with both clients, peers, and senior management
• Demonstrated strong analysis and conceptual design skills
• Client development and/or marketing/business development experience within current role
• Previous involvement with local municipal boards, professional and/or civic organizations (Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, Civitan, etc.) a plus
• Demonstrated proposal writing and fee development experience
• Demonstrated creative and thoughtful writing ability
• Community and public involvement experience a plus.
• Experience with resilience and sustainable design, a plus
• LEED GA or BD+C accreditation, a plus
• Demonstrated graphic software experience with programs such as SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lumion, etc. a plus.
