Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced Senior Logistics and Acquisition Support Specialist to support Kadiak and our government customer at Ft. Belvoir, VA.

The Senior Logistics and Acquisition Support Specialist provided advisory expertise and planning/coordination assistance to DoD for supply chain management of multi- modal international shipping requirements for all materials associated with the CTR Program and from time to time other agency projects to include break bulk shipments, hazardous and dangerous goods, shipment of temperature-sensitive and perishable material, export compliance, export/import customs brokerage, and warehouse management using Government and commercial resources to facilitate execution of agency requirements.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide advisory expertise and planning/coordination assistance for supply chain management of multi- modal international shipping requirements for all materials associated with the CTR Program and from time to time other agency projects to include break bulk shipments, hazardous and dangerous goods, shipment of temperature-sensitive and perishable material, export compliance, export/import customs brokerage, and warehouse management using Government and commercial resources to facilitate execution of agency requirements.
  • As required, conduct physical inventories and related services for program shipments and provide associated reports, cost analyses, briefings, and documents to support the Government in supply chain and logistics planning and decision-making processes in a mix of available DoD and contracted commercial resources and logistics providers.
  • Coordinate with specific project or agency-wide teams and other contractors executing or supporting project and logistics operations requirements.
  • Possess knowledge of both U.S. Transportation Command and commercially available supply chain and transportation resources, as well as knowledge of DoD contracting principles.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of logistics requirements for various CTR and other projects as directed, including the preparation of logistics and oversight needs assessments as related to the custody of Government property and equipment from acquisition through movement and delivery stages on the basis of DoD regulations and program-specific needs.
  • Oversee personnel logistics, translations fulfillment requirements, interpretation requirements worldwide
  • Ensure compliance with denied party screening requirements.
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Minimum of 10+ years of logistics/acquisition experience within DoD.
  • Logistics subject matter expert, with extensive knowledge and experience with monitoring and tracking personnel, cargo and hazardous materials transport worldwide.
  • Working knowledge of Joint Travel Regulations, country clearance requirements, foreign partner travel requirements and limitations.
  • Possess current DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • BA or BS degree in relevant discipline.
  • Possess one or more relevant certifications.
Working Environment & Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
