WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a collaborative and experienced Senior Manager, Leadership Training to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Leadership Development, this person will play a crucial role in leading and advising on training and development projects and initiatives in partnership with internal clients, HR colleagues and external professionals. Responsibilities and day to day activities will focus on the design, delivery and assessment of learning and development content, approaches and experiences in alignment with our strategic priorities and objectives. In addition to having a solid foundation in learning and development, the ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, intellectual curiosity, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to drive business success.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Lead collaborative efforts with internal SMEs, content owners and stakeholders to identify learning and development goals and confirm/recommend fit for purpose design/delivery solutions.
  • Leverage research based design methods to assess learning and development needs, build content and tools and measure progress and outcomes.
  • Maintain and apply working knowledge of advancements and new practices related to learning and development science, technologies, strategies and instruments.
  • Manage vendor partnerships to ensure that work product and engagements are consistent with VEG culture, learning strategies, preferences and priorities and in ways that cost effectively maximize use of services and expertise.
  • Leverage LMS, learning tools and internal communication platforms to facilitate participant awareness, access, organization and selection of learning solutions.
  • Ability to adapt existing internal and off the shelf content and experiences to reflect the evolving needs of VEG.
  • Analyze learning and development data to assess team practices, inform team strategy and formulate team and management briefings .
  • Lead, participate in and advise on design, delivery and faculty preparation for learning and development related projects and initiative.

WHO YOU ARE
  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design, training development or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning theories, instructional design principles, and eLearning technologies
  • Understanding of learning management systems and eLearning technologies
  • Excellent communication, project management and collaboration skills
  • Strong learning and development facilitation and client engagement skills
  • Master's degree in instructional design, education, or a related field (or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education).
