We are looking to alternative energy generation, distribution, and use projects across the globe providing our clients with alternatives for clean energy and energy resiliency. These projects include renewable energy, energy storage, waste to energy, power to gas, hydrogen storage and transportation, clean fuels, clean chemical manufacturing, carbon capture, and reduced carbon footprint.
As part of this initiative, our team in Buffalo, NY is looking for a senior-level Mechanical Engineer to join the Industrial Plant Engineering Design group.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Application of various ASME codes and API standards in the design of pressure vessels, process tanks, process piping and pumping systems
- Oversight of engineers performing hydraulics calculations and stress analyses of critical piping systems for chemical process plants and liquid hydrocarbon facilities
- Developing specifications for procurement of pumps, piping, compressors, blowers, material handling, and industrial ventilation systems
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred
- 15+ years of experience crafting gas handling, compression, and treatment systems for natural gas and/or landfill gas; hydrogen handling, blending and storage for Renewable projects is a plus
- Strong design abilities in solid body mechanics, thermal fluid science and dynamics of rotating equipment
- Ability travel and work in the field as needed (may include overnight travel)
- Strong written and verbal communication with ability to work both independently and in a team
- Experience managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail
