Job Summary:

The Senior Methods and Tools Engineer will be a key driver in establishing and maintaining engineering methods and tools that adhere to industry standards such as ASPICE, ISO 26262, and cyber security. This role will involve working with a cross-functional team responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing processes and tools to ensure the highest quality and safety standards in our automotive development projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement engineering methods that align with industry standards, including ASPICE and ISO 26262.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of best practices into the development life cycle.
  • Support the evaluation, selection, and integration of tools that support compliance with ASPICE, ISO 26262, and cyber security standards.
  • Ensure seamless integration of tools to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
  • Analyze existing engineering processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement changes to enhance efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of industry standards, particularly ASPICE, ISO 26262, and cyber security.
  • Ensure that engineering methods and tools adhere to relevant standards and certifications.
  • Develop training programs to educate engineering teams on methods, tools, and compliance standards.
  • Adhere to federal and state regulations.
  • Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
  • Predictable and reliable attendance.

Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of proven experience in engineering process development, preferably in the automotive or defense industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of the ASPICE standards required and other industry standards such as ISO 26262 and cyber security preferred.
  • Familiarity with relevant engineering tools and software.
  • Experience documenting process flows in tools like Enterprise Architect or Stages.
  • Experience leading internal ASPICE or equivalent engineering process audits.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work in a team and individually.
  • Proven ability to analyze problems and find solutions.
  • Certifications related to ASPICE, ISO 26262, or cyber security preferred.
  • Experience with functional safety in automotive systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle and Agile methodologies preferred.
  • High Voltage Battery development experience preferred.

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment.
  • Ability to adjust focus, especially due to concentration on a computer screen.
  • May need to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and/or position the body to reach items on the floor/below knee level or reach overhead.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about in industrial environments and on uneven terrain.
  • Works in a temperature-controlled office environment, with occasional work in outdoor weather conditions, and in industrial environments.
  • The noise level in the work environment can be moderately loud.
