RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client, a growing Technology company in the Phoenix, AZ area is seeking a Remote Sr. NoSQL Database Engineer with solid MongoDB experience. This company offers an excellent compensation package including base salary, Stock/RSU's, 401K matching, strong benefits and PTO. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on this search assignment.Responsibilities of the NoSQL Database Engineer:

• NoSQL Database Engineer will work with leaders and users to define business needs and translate them to functional requirements to the technical team
• Become familiar with the multitude of ways data flows through our various systems in order to contribute creative problem-solving solutions, as well as to ensure the data integrity among various data stores
• Help architect, design, and develop complex database solutions to support business strategies and deliver business value
• NoSQL Database Engineer will work with tools like the MongoDB Atlas Administration portal, MongoDB Compass, Azure Administration portal, and various reporting and alerting tools against the latest versions of MongoDB and MongoDB Atlas
• Provide guidance and technical support for MongoDB and MongoDB Atlas development, test UAT, and production databases, services, and infrastructure, both in house and cloud resident
• NoSQL Database Engineer conducts systematic performance tuning (i.e., infrastructure, database design, indexing, and query optimizations)
• Analyze database workloads and identify opportunities for system performance optimizations
• Own, track and resolve database related alerts and requests, resolving incidents within defined SLAs
• Establish and monitor data security and governance policies and procedures
• Design, implement and support cloud-based HA/DR solutions (Azure)
• Work with others to understand and deliver data so that non-technical resources can understand/respond as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

• BS degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or have the equivalent work experience
• At least 5 years of experience working with NoSQL databases with at least 3 of those years specifically with MongoDB
• Azure Cloud experience is preferred
• Experience with MongoDB Atlas a plus
• Team player
• Fearless of being un-knowledgeable about a particular subject area/technology; Yearning to learn and ask questions, with a strong desire to grow through challenging work and new technologies
• Excited to do performance tuning and process streamlining
• Understand MongoDB indexing concepts such as Single Field, Compound, Multikey, hashed, and Geospatial indexes
• Experience with data and data sources, as well as presentation platforms, preferably Tableau is a plus
• Passion to learn industry best practices and implementing processes accordingly
