We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Payroll Representative located in Midland, MI. You would act as the contact for payroll inquiries across various disciplines. This role is empowered to support and perform payroll activities required to ensure seamless payroll process and drive a best in class employee experience. You may act as a resource for less experienced staff.
Also, you can complete each of the following tasks:
Pay processing for all employees (could be active or retiree). This includes validating new hires with any pro-ration, terminations, cross referencing all deductions (401k, medical, all other benefits, garnishments, tax, etc.)
Process one time/special payments accurately based on data fed to the Payroll system: Legal Department, severance payments, disaster loans, Canadian maternity top-up payments, Performance Awards, Overtime Bonus Awards, etc.
Process corrections to pay and time based on employee, leader or scheduler requested corrections. Work as a team to ensure all corrections have been audited timely
Processing for overpayments, collections of arrears, employee loans
Process updates to earnings that come in from Aviation, Dow transportation, customer and business events, etc.
Creation and updating as required for work process/job aid documentation
Subject Matter Expert for payroll processing as it relates to Active Employee, Pension Payroll
Calculation of prior year overpayments
Tax Reconciliation processing for international assignments and associated management of process with vendor (Deloitte)
A minimum of a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
An associate's degree or higher
Experience using Workday, Service Now, Global view (SAP), e-Time
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good interpersonal skills are required
Must have strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills
A self-starter who can identify, prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks
Must be able to apply software applications to respond to requests with attention to detail and accuracy
Able to handle multiple priorities from multiple sources
A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process
