NI is seeking an experienced communications professional to drive public relations strategy and execution aligned to strategic technology growth markets. This role involves an understanding of the technology landscape, strong media and storytelling skills, and is ideal for someone who enjoys thinking "outside of the box" to build robust PR initiatives that meet the needs of an evolving business - ones that can scale, move with pace and agility, and generate BIG results globally.

As part of NI's Global Communications function, this role presents an exciting opportunity to advise and counsel leaders through rapid evolution and change. This individual will report to the head of NI Global Communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with global colleagues to build a public relations program that spans key regions, aligns to business goals and supports brand-level and industry focus areas, including transportation, semiconductor, and aerospace/defense/government, and customers across a range of other industries.


  • Work cross-functionally and develop relationships across multiple departments and with leadership, to move big boulders and achieve meaningful results.

  • Manage day-to-day relationships and budgets with public relations agencies and vendors.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with media, influencers, and industry analysts.

  • Cultivate ROI-driven team and elevate PR's role in the marketing mix through clear reporting and KPI dashboards


  • Ensure consistent voice and tone in all communications.

  • Work as a core member of the broader Global Communications team, offering collaboration, ideas, and support to the team.


  • Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong record of executing successful communications campaigns for technology companies and/or clients.

  • Creative and strategic mindset with an ability to swiftly prioritize, manage resources, and move with pace and focus.


  • Demonstrated ability to plan, balance and connect near-term priorities with longer-range business objectives.

  • Strong business acumen and ability to "connect the dots" across the organization.

  • Experience working with and counseling senior leadership.

  • Excellent interpersonal, story-telling and written communication skills; proven ability to adapt voice, tone and style as necessary.

  • Ability to manage agencies, vendors and budgets to drive measurable results.

  • Technical aptitude/history utilizing metrics tracking and communication tools like Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Microsoft SharePoint, etc. and willingness to embrace new technologies.


  • Position Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in the technology PR or communications industry, within in-house and/or agency settings. B2B experience is beneficial but not required.
