C.H. Robinson is seeking a Senior Social Media Manager to help manage the social media strategy and execution. This is an important role, aligned to the Communications and Public Relations' Center of Excellence within the Marketing team. You will partner closely with other team members across communications, divisional marketing, digital, content, and creative, as well as key partners such as internal communications, investor relations and divisional leaders. In this role , you will help bring stories to life on our social media channels in impactful ways. You will help manage daily social media strategy and execution in collaboration with colleagues using social media to help communicate the company's vision, stories and engage with our communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage our day-to-day owned social media strategy, across our platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and others)
  • Develop and maintain an editorial social media calendar mapped to business objectives, key announcements, and events
  • Draft, create and publish social media content in support of business objectives
  • Collaborate closely with all members of Communications team on social media, ensuring content is relevant and accurately reflects initiatives across the company
  • Serve as Community Manager, engaging with stakeholders and supporting the senior leadership team's social media strategy as needed
  • Support employee ambassador strategy on LinkedIn and other platforms as needed, amplifying employee content and social media activity
  • Leverage existing brand and reputation assets to maintain a consistent voice and look, tone and feel
  • Leverage analytics and metrics to better understand audiences, inform future storytelling initiatives, and develop more effective content
  • Work with key members of public relations, internal communications, investor relations, and marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging across multiple programs and campaigns
  • Stay current on trends, social issues, and industry news to anticipate and plan for ongoing communications needs
  • Monitor trends in social media channels; appropriately apply that knowledge to increase the effectiveness of social media efforts

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 5 years of public relations and B2B social media experience in a large organization (in-house or agency)
  • Expert knowledge of social media content and platforms with minimum 3 years' experience managing social channels (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with storytelling experience and an ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to travel up to 10% (domestic and international)
