The Customer Success and Insights Platform team is looking for a highly talented, self-driven, proven software engineer to take on the challenge of building Messaging Experiences for PayPal . As an engineer in our development team you will be responsible for the development of key building blocks of PayPal Chat and Message Center. We are looking for software engineers who are curious, fast-learning, and versatile , to join the team working to develop the next-generation of SelfService solutions that will change how billions of users self resolve issues. ChatBOT is the major contributor to help customers to self resolve the issue. You will work closely with product, architects and other teams to understand the business needs and deliver solutions to meet their needs.

At PayPal, we work together on small, collaborative teams. We're passionate about code quality and we're constantly - some might say, obsessively - finding new ways to perfect our processes and product. We're looking for a Android Engineer to assist our Platform team.

The Help center team is responsible for finding better ways to get the right help content to delight PayPal users. The code you contribute will be part of the PayPal Consumer app found on the Android app store. And did I say this is all 100% new development work?

Day to DayResponsibilities
• Implements solutions for specific use cases that provide frameworks, interfaces, and services that can be extended and reused for future requirements

• Develop new features.
• Collaborates with Engineering and QA to resolve bugs

Required Technical Skills
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience
  • Good knowledge of Java and Kotlin (including coroutines).
  • Expert understanding of the Android System APIs, Android app lifecycle
  • Knowledge of open-source and commercial libraries commonly used in the Android ecosystem, including android architecture components, jetpack libraries, http, retrofit, ...
  • Knowledge of multi-threaded, asynchronous code
  • Experience with animation, and implementing user interface designs
  • Knowledge of design patterns such as MVVM
  • Skilled at writing Unit tests and Automation tests with espresso
  • Good understanding of Web services and SOA related standards like REST/JSON
  • B.S. or equivalent degree in Computer Science
