As a Senior Software Engineer on the Performance Engineering team, you'll work on identifying and fixing performance bottlenecks across the entire DraftKings engineering organization. You'll have a chance to create frameworks for load testing and make an impact on how all our engineering teams are operating. What you'll do as a Senior Software Engineer:

• Create load testing frameworks and processes for DraftKings as a whole. Making sure our technologies can handle anticipated request volume during peak traffic times
  
• Work with analytics, engineering, and project management to set performance targets and estimated peaks
  
• Participate in performance testing and load testing with a cross functional team on a regular basis
  
• Work closely with leadership teams to keep them informed of where performance issues lie and how we're addressing them
  
  

What skills you will use:

• Ideally, you have 3+ years of development experience in object-oriented programming using languages such as C# or Java
  
• You have experience with load testing/performance tools such as Gatling, Locust, or JMeter
  
• Experience with AWS infrastructure is strongly preferred
  
• Ability to mentor and coach junior engineers on the team
  
• You have 1+ years of relational database experience including schema design and SQL
