Position Summary

ITT Goulds Pumps is looking for a Service Technician to join their PRO Services team in Chicago. The Service Technician applies appropriate mechanic processes to repair pumps and rotating equipment as specified by work orders, blueprints, sketches or charts. The Service Technician will assemble various types of pumps.
Essential Responsibilities

• Ability to read machining blueprints and understand the tolerances, concepts and manufacture repairs that complies with tolerances.
• Capable of working effectively on most products (end-suction, split case, vertical, boiler feed, other rotating equipment & field service) in a specific area (mechanical, machining, welding, etc.).
• Capable of thorough inspection of some of the above noted products with documentation.
• Properly use, read and maintain precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and verniers.
• Follow ISO 9002, ITT Environmental, Safety and Health guidelines.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• 6+ years of experience in a machining/repair environment
• Classified as an Assembler or Mechanic and able to demonstrate considerable mechanical ability.
