Become a part of our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Shift Supervisor in the Crisis Stabilization Respite program at Behavioral Health Network!Shift Supervisors provide leadership, direct clinical and consultative services. They are able to assess treatment needs in order to supervise, develop and implement therapeutic goals and monitor treatment progress for persons served. The Shift Supervisor must be able to perform mental status, assess risk and social functioning of those we serve. The Shift Supervisor consults with the Clinical Coordinator or Program Manager for clinical and administrative decisions regarding admissions, safety, treatment planning and discharges on shift.

The Crisis Stabilization programis a safe, supervised, therapeutic environment. Those we serve are provided a range of services including needs assessment, group therapy and individual counseling.

Behavioral Health Network is a growing non-profit community behavioral health agency that has been providing services to children, adults, families and communities in Western Massachusetts since 1938. BHN provides comprehensive, outcome-driven behavioral health care. We are dedicated to offering high quality, affordable and culturally appropriate care to people of all ages and income levels in our constituent communities.

Shift Supervisors at Behavioral Health Network have the following qualities:

  • Master's degree from clinical counseling program or BA with equivalent job experience. (Graduate students encouraged to apply).
  • Licensed or license eligible (preferred).
  • Crisis or inpatient experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of mental illness, substance abuse.
  • Skilled in a range of treatment modalities including assessment, individual and group counseling techniques.
  • Knowledge of DSM diagnostic criteria.
  • Excellent observation and documentation skills.
  • Excellent triage skills related to the planning, organizing and coordination of decision making for the shift.
  • Ability to establish supportive relationships with psychiatric individuals, family members, staff and other service providers.
