We are looking for a Ship Liaison 40 hours per week in our Miami, FL location.

Schedule: Monday - Sunday Varies week to week

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Ship Liaison for POC Testing will be responsible for a team of collectors and testers at on a ship. In this role the ship liaison evaluates, trains and coordinates the day to day staffing of the collectors. Will need to communicate effectively to internal and external clients including patients, sales, client service, logistics, senior management, and others. The Ship Liaison must understand all fundamental POC testing and COVID 19 procedures and ensure that all employees are capable of following these procedures.

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES

Duties may include but are not necessarily limited to the following:

  • Liaison between local Organization, Regional Director and Ops Area Manager. Key point contact person to problem solve and overall commander of the ship's day to day activities, 24x7 on call
  • Problem resolution with issues including but not limited to: swab collecting staff, specimen tracking, specimen resolution and scheduling adjustments, IT Support, Logistics Divers, Customer Service, POC technician and Supply procurement
  • Work with Royal Caribbean and Land team in preparation for future sailing numbers
  • Work with any Royal Caribbean staff to address any concerns or issues
  • Oversee testing and registration for flow and process adherence
  • Coordinate and manage schedules patient flow with local organization
  • Train staff for technical and customer interactions
  • Daily onsite supply and POC maintenance
  • Reconciliation tracking and quality management
  • Maintain cleanliness of testing area
  • Ensure all contractual obligations are met, while abiding by all compliance to regulatory regulations
  • Ensures a safe, secure, and legal work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to lift 20 pounds
  • Frequent contact with water (hand washing and cleaning), biohazardous body fluids, and hazardous chemicals
  • TRAVEL 50% to 75% on board a cruise ship
  • Provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's degree Preferred

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 1-3 years of experience in people management (business development, sales, strategic marketing, or consulting)
  • Politically savvy with strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and influencing skills
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Proven experience with a broad base of external customers
  • Ability to combine both scientific and commercial knowledge to meet customer needs
  • Ability to clearly and effectively articulate complex concepts
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
