Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Shipper position pulls and packs orders accurately in preparation for prompt shipment according to customer specifications. The incumbent verifies and enters receipt of incoming shipments and receives goods.

You Will Have the Opportunity to:

• Obtain merchandise from warehouse shelves to fill orders for customer orders, carefully verifying identifying information and quantities. Place items in containers and wraps so that the material is protected during shipment
  
• Compare identifying information and quantities on the packing slip against the purchase order and counts items for verification, and indicates any discrepancies
  
• Enter the purchase order information into the system, which generates a shipping ticket
  
• Indicate sales order number on the shipping ticket and attaches it to the box or sack
  
• Package orders for out-of-town shipments
  
• Enter other incoming shipments in the computer, as physical counts have already been verified
  
• Escalate issues to Supply Chain Manager
  

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
  
• Ability to work a first shift schedule and overtime as needed
  
• Experience in shipping and receiving role preferred
  
• Experience with FedEx and UPS systems
  

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Since Materion Precision Optics and Thin Film Coatings Inc is a Department of Defense cleared facility, the candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. Citizen, a U.S. National, or a Lawful Permanent Resident of the U.S.
