Valid has an outstanding opportunity for a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator on 1st shift based in our Downers Grove, IL facility.

What will you do?

• Coordinate all activities for the shipping and receiving function at our Bolingbrook location.
• Train new hires and agency employees on shipping and receiving job duties.
• Implement process improvements for the department.
• Manage outbound and inbound shipping schedules.
• Coordinate labor in shipping and receiving docks.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are met in the department
• Ensure operations are running smoothly and timely in the department.
• Elevate more advanced issues to supervisor as needed.
• Coordinate with manufacturing plant on production schedules
• Perform related duties as needed and required.

What are we looking for?

• High school diploma required.
• At least 3 years of experience in shipping and receiving for a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with all levels of employees in multiple departments.
• Experience training others on basic job duties.
• Computer skills and experience using MS Outlook for email and also using MS Excel for basic data tracking.
• Ability to manage many tasks and responsibilities at once.
• Positive attitude and good teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
