Description:

The Small Business Loan Documentation Specialist prepares Commercial Loan Documentation for high volume Small Business Loans/Commitments (up to $1.5 million). Transactions can be complex with multiple borrowers and guarantors, mixed collateral, and varying repayment and rate structures. Tasks include but are not limited to: the preparation of renewal and modification agreements to existing loans; gathering all appropriate information required to prepare legal documentation; entering customer and loan data to Salesforce and nCino software programs and documentation preparation software (which may include customer and guarantor information, collateral information, default provisions, repayment terms, pricing: rates and fees, and commitment information). This position requires the ability to manage high volume production requests within multiple internet software platforms at a fast rate with minimal errors and supervision. Transactions may include demand, single payment, and term loans, as well as revolving and non-revolving lines of credit, equipment lines, and letters of credit. Legal documents include but are not limited to promissory notes, guarantor agreements, security agreements, business loan agreements, mortgages, hypothecation agreements, UCC filings and other collateral perfection instruments.

The Small Business Loan Documentation Specialist will also be responsible for property searches orders, collateral searches, good standings certificates, etc. to validate information required for documentation. The incumbent will review data entered into nCino software by the Sales team to ensure accuracy in regards to product specific requests prior to documenting the loan. The incumbent will perform all activities related to processing commercial loan amendments and modifications, and will create the loan file for incoming applications including the document checklist.

Other job functions may include, but not limited to:

• Documenting conventional loans within 72 hours notice of closing
• Documenting modifications within 72 hours notice of closing
• Documenting express loans within 24 hours notice of closing
• Pulling due diligence within 24 hours of approval

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have some college or 4 years banking experience.
• Working knowledge of Laser Pro, nCino, and Salesforce is preferred.
• Must have previously worked in some form of operational support in a fast paced and high volume department.
• Will preferably have knowledge of application processing, documentation preparation and funding as it relates to the completion of commercial loans.
• Will preferably have existing knowledge of commercial loan products, UCC, and banking regulations or the ability to learn them.
• This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
