Get to Know This Role

The Manager of Social Media manages and monitors our social media strategies and content. This position serves as the expert on social media, provides daily support for social channels and team, project manages our social content from concept to execution, and provides strategic analysis on our social media community health with optimization recommendations. This role supervises our Community Manager and is uniquely responsible for the health of our social communities and translating that into business value.

What You Will Do

  • Works closely with the Social Coordinator and Digital Producer to implement our social strategy for Sierra Nevada core, Strainge Beast and other emerging brands.
  • Oversee community management practices looking for opportunities to seek out brand advocates and create special customer moments that lead to retention.
  • Lead on vendor managements and social representative relationships to ensure quick access to changes
  • Responsible for managing social media budget to execute contest/promotions and surprise and delight activations.
  • Research and vet emerging social platforms and trends to ensure that SNBC and beyond beer brands are reaching target customers through the proper platforms and taking advantage of the latest platform features and consumer trends.
  • Lead, manage, develop, and provide direction to the Community Manager
  • Audit the brewery's social media monitoring/measurement tools and research, recommend and implement enhancements as appropriate. Deliver monthly audits and quarterly reports to assess performance against benchmarks and social KPIs
  • Leads weekly content brainstorms in order to develop serialized content that drives engagement, brand advocacy and lifetime customers of Sierra Nevada brands. Leads team to execute against ideas brainstormed and deliver unique ways to tell the brewery story through social mediums.

Please Apply if You Have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing required or any combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved

  • 3 years in a relevant social media management or community management role required and
  • 2 years managing social and digital campaigns with outstanding results growing social following required and
  • 3 years team management or leadership experience and
  • Experience in Food & Beverage and/or Consumer Packaged Goods preferred and
  • Experience buying and measuring targeted media preferred and
  • Successful track record managing multiple social editorial calendars, executing content in a scrappy manner and effectively collaborating in a team environment required. required and
  • Demonstrated experience applying social analytics in a business setting preferred preferred

  • Creative soul with a knack for telling rich, authentic stories in meaningful ways.
  • Thorough understanding of current and emerging social media platforms
  • Highly measured and results driven. Social goals, KPIs and refining your approach comes naturally.
  • A creative eye, exceptional communicator and meticulous copy editor.
  • Ability to project manage a variety of efforts and people simultaneously, managing many third party teammates and contributors.
  • Ability to collaborate in person and in the field easily and often with members of the sales and marketing team.
  • Ability to effectively identify, recommend and coordinate use of the most impactful channels for customer engagement
  • Should have point of view on how a brand should actively participate in culture through social
  • Knowledge of social media and emerging digital mediums specific to consumer-packaged goods

  • DL - Driver's License free of any major moving violations within the last three years upon hire required
