Description:

JOB TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator

JOB DUTIES:

Maintain SQL Server servers, develop SQL queries and procedures, and maintain/modify SSIS processes to maintain SSAS reports. Responsible for maintenance of all databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance.

MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):

• 8+ years of experience in SQL Server Database & Windows server Administration
• 5+ years of experience in T-SQL programming/stored procedures
• 3+ years of experience of exclusively working in Production Support
• Experience in installing and maintaining sql server in a clustered environment
• Experience in configuring Linked Servers and Database mail servers.
• Experience in windows clustering and event monitoring
• Experience in maintaining db backups, db movement and configuring sql agent jobs
• Experience in windows/sql server patching activity
• Experience in powershell scripting interacting with sql server
• Experience on working with IIS web server

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Experience of working in a Hadoop environment.
• Good experience working with Visual Studio.Net, C#
• Working experience in Telecom Data Warehouse
• Experience in SharePoint/Excel Pivot services

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

Batchelors Degree in computer science

LOGISTICS:

This is standard 9-5 database support and may need to take care of any after hours issues as and when required.
