The Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) team supports the definition, design, and development of continuously improving mobility services. SDV is a new vehicle intelligence platform that will underpin all our future innovations across a wide range of technological advancements, including EVs and expanded automated driving. This means that you can potentially put a fingerprint on the vehicles that drive down the road!

Our growing User Interface team within SDV is seeking a passionate and talentedChange Management Specialist to lead our design changes across multiple vehicle brands and digital in-vehicle displays. Your ability to manage our team's work through change requests in a highly dynamic environment will be crucial to our team's success and our customers' satisfaction.

Remote: This position does not require employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work off-site on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have strong change management skills, an understanding of user-centered design, and solid collaboration skills with cross functional teams. As the Change Management Specialist, you will be a member of our Design Operations team that focuses on people, process, and priorities. You, specifically, will be involved in establishing the business case and technical assessment for new features User Interface team is requesting to advance the in-vehicle user experience for our customers. Daily, you will handle the incoming change requests for new features and improvements to our user interface design assessing priority, timing, and resources. This includes:

  • Collaborate closely with team members to manage priority, resources, and timing of the changes across all products and platforms for vehicle features balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business objectives
  • Collaborate with feature owners and key partners to balance the timing of the change request with technical feasibility and resource availability
  • Contribute to the continued evolution of the team's workflows and processes to further improve quality and efficiency for changes
  • Lead the User Interface Change Control Board for managing the change request approvals
  • Calls out issues when there is a timing concern or roadblocks for implementing a change request
  • Provide training of the change management tool and process for our team members, provide recommendations for improving the tool and process, and keep the team up to date on enhancements

Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills
  • Strong analysis, problem-solving, negotiation, conflict management and time management skills
  • Superb written and verbal communications skills with experience interacting with all management levels including executive level
  • Effective interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
  • Experience with change management and project management tools
  • Basic understanding of user centered design
  • Understanding of software development technology and the product development lifecycle

Additional Job Description
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in HCI, Project Management, Business Administration, Product Design, Engineering or related
  • 3+ years of proven experience in program or change management
  • Interests aligned with Tech and Automotive industries
  • Familiarity with User Experience Design
  • Certified SAFe Agile or experience with Agile Methodology
  • Experience with IBM Rational Team Concert and / or Jira

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of proven experience in program or change management
  • Solid understanding of automotive technology and architecture
