BCforward is currently seeking highly motivated Software Engineering - Core Java - Intermediate in Chicago, IL

We place consultants for end clients all over USA.

Job Title: Software Engineering - Core Java - Intermediate

Location: Chicago, IL

Expected Duration: 6 Months Contract with possible extension or permanent depending on performance of the candidate and client needs.

Job Description:

* Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines

* Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems

* Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages

* Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices

* Keen understanding of financial control and budget management

* Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals

* Passionate about building an innovative culture

* Minimum 4+ years of current hands-on development and programming experience

* Hands-on programming/application development experience utilizing Java, Spring Boot, REST, Micro Services, Cloud Native, DevOps and Test-Driven Development

* Experience with SQL and databases (DB2, Oracle, Cassandra, CockroachDB)

* Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills (OOAD)

* Strong written and oral communication

* Experience working in Agile teams, ability to focus and grasp business concepts
