Your role:

This role will be part of the Life Science ACE Use Case delivery team that is responsible for driving approved and prioritized use cases forward. The Solution Architect sets direction, ensures project implementation compliance, and utilizes technology research to innovate, integrate, and manage use-cases.

The Solution Architect will thereby support the entire use case journey that begins from data ingestion to generating actionable insights/visualization to business impact. The Solution Architect will deliver on the scope and business outcomes of the use case by adhering to the underlying agile processes.

You will guide the development of new data driven products, analytics & informatics tools and drive the iterative development of analytics solutions and visualization tools for various types of data generated across LS and procured from external sources to deliver and drive business value and outcomes.

The Solution Architect will thereby partner closely work with the ACE Product Owners, other ACE Architects, and the ACE development team to define and deliver on the roadmap.The Solution Architect will further collaborate with other teams - both the demand and the delivery side - in MDO, Business and IT to drive the product strategy & roadmap and generate value added solutions.

Who you are:

Minimum qualifications:

  • BS degree with 5+ years' experience, MS degree with 2+ years' experience, or PhD. In a quantitative or technical field (math, statistics, computer science)

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree preferred in a quantitative or technical field (math, statistics, computer science)
  • Strong customer orientation and communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with technical & non-technical audience
  • Ability to work with global, highly-matrixed agile product teams
  • Demonstrable experience working in an agile product development environment strongly preferred
  • Flexible and willing to travel internationally and domestically.
  • Proven experience in understanding digital and leveraging data and analytics assets to drive strong business outcomes
  • Experience with various tools used for data modeling, data warehousing, business intelligence and databases (e.g. SAS, R, Business Objects, Tableau, Python, Hadoop, ETL, Big Data, ORACLE, and Hive)
  • Experience in ingesting data by connecting with variety of external data sources, such as or through JDBC (Oracle, SQL Server, MSQL, etc.), SAP, SFDC, BigQuery, Aera, Other APIs (e.g. BrightLab), NLP integration
  • Experience in programming languages -C++, Java, Python preferred
  • Strong mathematics background and experience with big data, machine learning, statistics, data analytics and informatics preferred
  • Ability to structure and plan complex topics into manageable work items
  • Ability to prioritize thoughtfully and strictly in alignment with business objectives as well as financial and resource restrictions
  • Experience driving product initiatives from conception to launch and ensuing iterations strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams through influence
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, strong analytical skills, big-picture thinking
  • Experience with AI / machine learning software (such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, MXNet etc.) preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of independence
