St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, a partnership between Tower Health and Drexel University, is a 188-bed facility that provides exceptional care to children throughout the Greater Philadelphia area and surrounding counties.
St. Christopher's has more than 220 pediatric experts on staff, combining top-notch pediatric care with a wide array of pediatric specialties including Cardiology, Ear, Nose and Throat, Gastroenterology, Oncology, and Orthopedics. It houses the only Verified Pediatric Burn Center between New York City and Baltimore and is one of only three Level I Pediatric Trauma Centers in Pennsylvania. St. Christopher's is a Magnet® designated hospital and was recognized as a Women's Choice Award Best Children's Hospital.

Responsibilities
The Speech-Language Pathologist will be responsible for the assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic interventions, re-assessments and discharge planning of patients referred for Speech-Language Therapy as well as Swallow Evaluation and treatment. The Speech-Language Pathologist will also participate in program development, quality improvement, problem solving and productivity improvement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion.
Skills & Abilities: This position is responsible for the assessment and treatment of patients who persistently demonstrate communication deficits in any modality: speaking, listening, reading and/or writing. This position is also responsible for any patient who has difficulty managing his/her secretions or in swallowing. This may include a variety of diagnoses.
Qualifications
*Please note that St. Christopher's Hospital for children requires BLS from the American Heart Association . If you have BLS from another affiliation, training will need to be completed and obtained thrugh the American Heart Association before your start date.
**RN positions also require PALS though the American Heart Association
The ideal candidate must have both pediatric and feeding experience.
- At least 2 years of experience
-Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) a plus
Education Requirements
Masters Degree in SLP
-CPR
-Required: Pediatric Affiliation.
-Required Licenses: Licensed in Pennsylvania
