The Sr. Associate Director of Visit Experience at Thomas Jefferson University is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on event/visit plans for the first-year, transfer, and graduate and international enrollment portfolios across all Jefferson campus locations (Center City, East Falls, Dixon, Voorhees). The Sr. Associate Director leverages technology, data, staff talent, and relationships with key strategy partners to create innovative approaches to on-campus and virtual events/visits that will engage applicants and compel them to select Jefferson as their destination for higher education. This position will require extensive collaboration with colleagues within enrollment management, our internal administrative and academic partners, and our external network of vendors and service providers.

Essential Functions

  • Event/Visit Strategy Development: develop event/visit strategies to target each stage of the enrollment funnel (recruitment, selection, and yield) for assigned populations. Additionally, develop an event/visit strategy that engages associated key influencer groups (parents, guidance counselors, etc.) Strategies will encompass on-campus and virtual events.
  • Event/Visit Design & Management: execute the event/visit strategy by designing and managing each opportunity with the goal of providing each visitor with a positive and memorable experience.
  • Visit Center Design & Management: participate in the team's efforts to design a Visit Center experience that is reflective of the Jefferson brand and high customer service standards; directly oversee the Center City Campus Admissions Visit Center.
  • Asset Development & Management: work with strategic partners to develop and maintain assets used to promote the Jefferson brand at event and visit opportunities; ensure that Jefferson Enrollment Management efforts promote and protect the Jefferson brand.
  • Reporting & Analysis: work with colleagues in Enrollment Management to create dashboards and monitoring reports; produce ad-hoc analyses. Utilize data to track results and course correct as needed.
  • Key Collaborations: collaborate extensively with key academic and administrative colleagues and external vendors in the execution of the event/visit program.
  • Budget Management: manage funds allocated to area of responsibility.
  • Staff Management: supervise, train, mentor, and motivate team members to attain or surpass enrollment goals. Provide strong leadership in benchmarking, innovation, use of technology, and continuous improvement.
  • CRM (Slate by Technolutions): optimize technology by conducting reviews of business processes to determine if/how technology can improve or streamline the way we do our work. Utilize Queries, Reports and Forms on a regular basis; directly oversee the development and maintenance of Events and Scheduler.
  • Strategy & Engagement Team Responsibilities: as a senior member of the Enrollment Management Strategy & Engagement team, the Sr. Associate Director will contribute to efforts related to planning, policy & procedure development, quality assurance & effectiveness, and budget & team management. The Sr. Associate Director will assess current practices, and propose and pilot new, technology-enhanced and data-driven admissions approaches.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of professional experience, 3+ years management/leadership experience is required
  • Experience in an undergraduate and/or graduate admissions office is strongly preferred; event planning experience is required
  • Slate experience is strongly preferred
Position Location: this is a hybrid position with on-site work required on our East Falls and Center City Campuses.Closing Statement
