About Us:
Brooks is a growing, fast-paced technology leader in automation solutions which support the dynamic and expanding semiconductor and life sciences lab markets. At Brooks, new ideas, technologies, and ways of thinking are driving our future. Our customer-focused culture encourages employees to adopt innovation and collaborate with one another to achieve new heights.
Our Culture:
In the semiconductor automation marketplace, our customers demand high performance, high quality and state-of-the-art solutions that enable the rapid development of emerging technologies around the globe. The successful development of automation equipment requires a seamless integration of Electrical, Mechanical, Embedded Controls and Software engineering. To achieve this, we are focused on embodying a culture of teamwork. In our electrical engineering team, one will find a culture of Collaboration, Learning, Cross Training, Respect for each other's Talents, Constructive Design Reviews, Customer Focus and Integrity.
Our Opportunity:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Electrical Technician, eager to integrate into our culture and be a key team contributor. This technician will work with a team of electrical engineers, and cross functionally with mechanical, software and embedded controls engineers, in supporting industry leading robotic atmospheric and vacuum system platforms. Learning experiences will include understanding the design, operation and usage of our products in the highly dynamic Semiconductor industry and providing customers with world class solutions to their challenges. This individual will work with a team in building prototype controls enclosures, PCBs and cables, developing test fixtures, testing new robot designs and control systems, testing design modifications, creating technical reports, and releasing new designs to our operations team. Ensuring proper documentation, consistent use of processes and systems, and engineering design standards are followed, enables Brooks to provide consistent high-quality solutions.
In a typical week, a faulty circuit board may need troubleshooting, an SMT PCB may need rework, some prototype cables may be built, a schematic/sketch for a test fixture may need to be turned into a working unit, components may need to be ordered, a robot may need to be setup and tested for new functionality, EMC testing may be performed on a new module, new assemblies may need design verification testing, and you may attend a 'Lunch & Learn' seminar. Every week will present new challenges.
