Position Title: Senior Engineer, Diagnostic Engineering

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Summary of Duties: Perform product functional failure diagnostics and electrical fault isolation including failure isolation using scan chain diagnostics and EDA tools, and dynamic failure isolation using emission microscopy or laser stimulation. Perform circuit and layout analysis, failure characterization and yield data analysis. Responsible for workflow automation using scripting languages. Drive EDA tool vendor collaboration to develop state-of-the art tools. Conduct product and circuit layout studies. Understand circuit functions and relate to failure signatures. Generate reports and highlight key issues. Responsible for scan yield analysis, correlation and characterization with functional and memory testing results, process experiments, electrical test data, inline Parametric data, defect data, as well as product, layout and circuit design to identify the cause of yield killers. Perform statistical data analysis. Mentor junior engineers to carry out analysis on scan diagnosis data.



Qualifications
Qualifications: Requires a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field of study plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years of experience as a Diagnostic Engineer, Test Engineer, or closely related design layout role. The employer will alternatively accept a PhD Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field of study in lieu of a Master's degree plus 2 years of experience.

Requires experience with microelectronic circuit design; product development including testing, circuit design, fabrication process, device physics, and failure analysis; layout aware diagnosis tools and volume diagnosis tools, including Mentor Tessent and Synopsys TetraMAX; data analysis, statistical analysis and relevant tools such as Python or Pandas; and electrical fault isolation tools.
