Meet the team:

You will be part of the global corporate engineering team, tasked with advancing and optimizing the information and data controls, management and analytics for our automation processes and equipment for our internal and contact manufacturing operations. This crucial role supports Dexcom's thrilling growth in delivering essential, life-changing products to our valued customers. As part of this dynamic and highly effective team, you will collaborate closely across multiple functions, gaining broad exposure to our entire product life cycle.

Where you come in:

  • You will oversee the development and management of manufacturing automation equipment controls, PLC programming, and data management, collaborating closely with other operations IT initiatives and our existing IT/OT teams for data connectivity, compliance, and proactive performance monitoring.
  • You will manage a team focused on information technologies for automation equipment across our manufacturing sites and contract manufacturers. This involves supporting scale-up and installation efforts, as well as ongoing equipment improvement to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and improve manufacturing efficiencies.
  • You will also support on-market sustaining efforts, such as change management, investigations, margin improvement initiatives, and continuous improvement programs, ensuring the long-term success, performance, and sustainability of our manufacturing operations.
  • You will develop an automation equipment controls strategy to ensure continuity and compliance across our global manufacturing footprint.
  • Additionally, you will plan and direct all aspects of team activities, including setting goals, establishing priorities, managing resources, developing concepts and approaches, reviewing project progress and results, and making management decisions.

  • You demonstrate a proven ability to manage projects, teams, timelines, and facilitate the transfer of new technologies and processes, you exhibit a comprehensive skill set essential for success in your role.

Travel Required:
  • 15-25%

Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree with 13+ years of industry experience.
  • 5-8 years of previous people management experience.

Flex Workplace: Your primary location will be a home office. You will not have an assigned workstation and will work with your manager to determine office visit needs. You must live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).
