About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, data-minded productleadtospearheadourPersonalized Shoppingefforts. You will be responsible for setting the vision, strategy, and roadmap forteams totranslatethe raw insights we have about consumer shopping behavior to create a highly engaging ecommerce experience. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience buildingrecommendationsystems at scale and a strong understanding for when to deploy rapid iterations on rules-based approaches vs. investing in more intensive machine learning models. You will lead teamsof engineers, data scientists, product designers, and analysts to drive new algorithm development, create a plan for continuous optimization, andcreate measurable impact throughout the shopping experience. This is a crucial initiative at Honey and core to our vision of creating a world-class marketplace for both shoppers and merchants alike.

In addition, we expecteveryone on the Product teamat Honey to:
  • Use an effective combination of research, data, and product intuition to make timely decisions
  • Understand the "why" behind everything we do and instill that understanding across the teams you work with
  • Serve as a communication hub and collaborate with other teams to ensure alignment across the ecosystem of Honey products
  • Level up the teamaround them, providing inspiration and mentorship to more junior product managers and introducing better ways of working and thinking
  • Havea deep awareness, respect, and empathy for what we ask of our users and the value we provide them in return

We're looking for candidates with
  • At least7years of experience building and shipping consumer-facing productswith a focus onpersonalization and recommendations
  • Experienceleadingmultiple teamsand managing PMs, and atrack record ofbuilding trust quickly throughout an organization and getting stuff done
  • Fluency with data science and machine learning concepts, but more importantly, a deep appreciation of what big data can and can't do
  • A natural, deep curiosity that drives you to learn, investigate, and constantly ask why
  • Expert communication skillsthat enable you topersuade and inspire,breakdown complex concepts, andkeepteams aligned
  • The ability to think out of the box when it comes to generating ideas, but an understanding that execution is what ultimately matters
  • Comfort with ambiguity, and an instinct for moving quickly and iterating rapidly
