Location/Division Specific Information

  • 1st Shift, Sunday-Thursday
  • This position is based out of our Grand Island, NY site within BioProduction Group.
A day in the Life:
  • Responsible for the production equipment at the Grand Island Facility. The Facility is a class 2 medical device manufacturer of liquids and dry powder media in classified environments
  • The candidate will be responsible for the day to day troubleshooting of production equipment as well as Preventive Maintenance and projects to support Engineering
  • The candidate will have a vast knowledge pneumatics, electromechanical technology, mechanical proficiency and controls experience with Allen-Bradley
  • Responsible for supporting and maintaining the mechanicals for all daily operations in a manufacturing environment
  • Respond to utility and equipment related alarms and maintenance issues during manufacturing campaigns
  • Complete preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment for various value streams
  • Identify areas of potential, to improve operational performance and compliance
  • Uphold safety procedures and safe practices
  • The role will also be responsible for providing general maintenance support for new processing equipment, installations, and modifications to existing equipment
Keys to Success:

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates Degree is preferred .
  • Trade & Technical school diploma
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • 3+ years mechanical aptitude, electro- mechanical aptitude
  • Preventative Maintenance experience
  • Automation Knowledge - PLCS
  • Program logic control experience/knowledge
  • Motivated self-starter
  • Ability to aseptically gown
  • Practical knowledge of GMP's and working in an SOP environment
  • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Prior experience as a GMP Maintenance Technician in a complex pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $21.82-$32.71.
