Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Sr. Performance Engineer

Position type: Remote.
Duration: 1 Year
Location: USA

As a Sr. Performance Engineer you will:

This role can be in any location provided the person can operate US hours. The hired person will be replacing an individual currently in Brazil, who we are billing at $61/hr. We should source candidates who are in geo's where we have a legal entity. Hence USA, Mexico, Canada.

India is an option, provided the person can work US hours (EST+)

• Design, develop, and execute performance test plans and strategies for complex systems and applications.
• Analyze performance test results and identify performance bottlenecks, issues, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot performance issues and drive performance optimization efforts.
• Develop and maintain performance test scripts and scenarios using industry-standard performance testing tools.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the performance engineering team, and proactively collaborate with other teams resolve roadblocks and ensure a smooth delivery.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in performance testing and engineering.
• Lead by example and use your technical expertise and perspective to drive innovation.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years of experience in performance engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.
• Familiarity with technologies Docker, Kubernetes, Argo, and microservices architecture.
• Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies, including load testing, stress testing, and scalability testing.
• Experience with performance monitoring and profiling tools such as Grafana and Prometheus to analyze system performance.
• Strong and proven scripting and automation skills using JavaScript, Python, Shell scripting, or similar.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex performance issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Good to have skills:

• Certifications in performance testing or related fields (e.g., ISTQB Performance Testing Certification)
• Experience with cloud-based performance testing tools and platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques for web-based applications.
• Understanding of data modeling and database theory, including relational databases, NoSQL, data normalization, indexing, and DB queries.
• Familiarity with security aspects considering APIs; Web Services (REST/JSON), OAuth, JWT, WS-Security, SAML.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $ 51,500 - $60,500 Per Year
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
