Responsible for the development, management, and reporting of the Consumer Products Division (CPD) forecast plan. Incorporates drivers of volume, historical trends, existing demand data, statistical forecasting and sales forecasts to facilitate the planning process. Supports the activities of CPD Sales, Marketing, and management relative to annual planning, long term planning, monthly tracking, and analysis of the demand plan. This position will interact with CPD Sales, Trade, Finance, Operations, Logistics, and Marketing to facilitate the planning process (mid to long term).*Your Story.*

*What You Do.*



* Leads the creation of accurate monthly demand plans in multiple business categories by utilizing drivers of volume, historical data, and sales projections from cross-functional partners for a business category

* Leads volume discussions with the Sales Manager & Broker

* Utilizes a collaborative approach to lead monthly cross-functional demand review meetings focused on reaching consensus on a final forecast as part of S&OP process; concisely communicates complex volume forecasting concepts

* Provides guidance to field sales teams on the Mid-Year Update/Annual Business Plan volumes

* Develops distribution & volume forecasts for Innovation items and/or new markets, working with New Product Development and Marketing Managers, as well as CPD Demand Planning Manager as needed

* Provides subject matter expertise for Integrated Business Planning (IBP) for S&OP and APO; identifies and trouble shoots IBP system errors; trains team members and participates in testing as needed

* Proactively uses syndicated data (IRI) to analyze price & promotion trends as well as changes in distribution

* Reviews historical sales trends, researches demand drivers, prepares forecast accuracy data, and evaluates forecast results for the demand plan and field sales

* Consults on integration of statistical forecasting outputs to utilize in short term and long-term volume forecasting

* Is an expert in reporting and recommendations to sales and/or supply plans

* Leads integrated "what-if" analysis using a data set that replicates the demand and supply situations for a potential event or change in volume

* Demonstrates a strong understanding of Pricing Net Of Commodities (PNOC) and how it affects Trade implementation (profitability and volumetric)


*Your Education and Experience.*



* Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in accounting or related field from four-year college or university required.

* Minimum of five years related experience and/or training required.

* Previous experience in CPG sales, marketing, or finance strongly preferred.

* Previous experience in statistical forecasting or machine learning strongly preferred.
