SENIOR SALESFORCE ADMINISTRATOR

As a Senior Salesforce Administrator, you will play a vital role within the Sales and Marketing team here at Makino. We are looking for a proactive individual that can help us continually improve and enhance our Salesforce platform, gathering and documenting requirements, feedback, working with consultants to design scalable best practice solutions and managing the road map for expansion of capabilities. Creating an amazing customer experience is what Makino is founded upon - therefore it is of great importance to us the Sr. Salesforce Administrator should enjoy all aspects of user management including support tickets, training, and design solutions with user satisfaction as a priority.

We are looking for a team member with a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform, who can understand both our current setup and our business objectives, in order to quickly identify areas of improvement. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with change management and governance, as well as communicating, prioritizing and managing all aspects of a Salesforce project. Our Sr. Salesforce Administrator will be happy liaising with stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to translate technical information into layman's terms, clearly explaining design options and their potential impact. This is a Hybrid position requiring the individual to be in person 2-3 days a week in our Corporate office located in Mason, OH. Relocation is not provided.

This role reports directly to the Director of Marketing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understands the full capabilities of the Salesforce application to assist, employ, and in some cases customize the platform against the defined system and business requirements. They will be a strong advocate for platform adoption and utilization
  • Perform and often champion the company's business goals into platform functionality
  • Support Sales and Marketing teams to see data, formulate reports and dashboards, maintain security standards and deliver actionable KPI's/analytics to the key business stakeholders
  • Maintain the currency of the platform ensuring they are up-to-date on new tools, platform capabilities and updates
  • Collaborates with external consultants to support the organization's objectives
  • Works cross-functionally with all stakeholders creating a team environment while aligning to Makino's process and standard of operations
  • Working with team members to set up personalized dashboards, fields, alerts, reports which ultimately shorten our sales cycle and track prospects activities and leads in greater detail
  • Maintains all aspects of user and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, sharing rules and enterprise territory management
  • Salesforce configuration changes including but not limited to: Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards and reports
  • Understanding of basic triggers/Apex code knowledge
  • Sandbox environment management
  • DevOps/release management experience
  • Identify and gather requirements, translating into best practice, scalable solutions with a focus on exceptional user experience
  • Identify unused or underutilized platform features
  • Create a platform roadmap and define priorities liaising with stakeholders
  • Own the communication of any platform changes to end users and stakeholders
  • Data management to improve Salesforce data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed to ensure data integrity
  • Proactive system maintenance including Security Reviews, Release Updates, Health Check and Optimizer
  • User support log tickets
  • Monitor and improve user adoption
  • New user and ongoing user training
  • Technical documentation
  • Management of integrated applications and third-party suppliers including Torrent, D&B connect, D&B hoovers, Outlook, MAPS, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong Salesforce product knowledge and at least 5+ years of Salesforce Administration hands-on experience with Salesforce, Account engagement/Pardot.
  • Proven experience in a project management capacity - ability to navigate multiple priorities and deadlines in a shifting environment, with a customer-centric mindset

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's/Postgraduate degree, or professional qualification
