We are looking for a Sr Systems Engineer.

Location: Remote and/or based in Arlington, VA with occasional travel to Canada.

General Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Principal Systems Engineer. As a senior member of an interdisciplinary team, you will apply a Systems Engineering methodology to a broad range of manned and unmanned ship projects.

General Duties

  • Provide a range of systems engineering and analysis activities, including requirements development and review, review of performance analyses, test planning support, support for scenario development, review of pre-test predictions, participation in (or review of) studies and analyses, and other such shipboard auxiliary systems engineering and analysis tasking.
  • Apply systems engineering methods and tools in the development of shipboard auxiliary support systems.
  • Review technical artifacts including concept white papers, technical reports, requirements documents, specifications, change requests and design review packages.
  • Conducting engineering analysis to support design integration and resolution of emergent issues.
  • Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent education in Systems Engineering.
  • At least 7 years of experience in an engineering position, 3 of which must be directly related to naval auxiliary systems and/or US naval ship design
  • Experience with Model Based System Engineering tools
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Work independently (with moderate supervision), or on project teams.
Security Requirements: MUST be a US Citizen in order to obtain a United States DOD Security Clearance
