Job Description

We are looking for an Sr Technician, Irrigation Landscape Services to join our Corporate Services Team! This position will support and assist our Landscape Services Crew at the Scotts Miracle-Gro World Headquarters and R&D grounds, located in Marysville, Ohio. This position will share the responsibilities of practicing and sustaining high-quality irrigation and maintenance standards in the following areas: onsite irrigation systems, priority lawns and landscapes, R&D lawns, plots, beds, and other research areas.

Detailed Description:

• Support approximately 250 acres automatically irrigated including; high-priority lawns, flower beds, planters, raised beds, R&D turf plots, garden rows, and hoop houses.
  
• Daily service and timely repairs to sprinklers, pipes, wires, and controllers.
  
• Run tests, field inspections, troubleshoot, and make major/minor repairs as needed.
  
• Maintain and record parts/supplies inventory.
  
• Irrigation install.
  
• Inspect, audit, adjust and repair the systems to ensure they perform at maximum. efficiency and water conservation standards.
  
• Perform winterization and startup of irrigation systems.
  
• Learn and operate smart-watering systems such as; Toro Golf Rotors, Toro/RainBird/Hunter Lawn Rotors & Sprays, Toro Sentinel Control System, Agriculture, and Res/Com Drip.
  
• Assist landscape services crew with mowing, edging, and trimming.
  
• Maintain aquatic ponds and streams, and interior plantscapes.
  
• Assist in snow and ice removal, holiday decoration installation, maintenance, and removal.
  
• Equipment care and maintenance.
  
• Assist with R&D Tours and Corporate Event Support.
  
• Perform other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
  

Job Requirements:

• Working towards High School Graduate, Vocational or Degree in Turf/Landscape/Agriculture Technologies or similar field.
  
• Minimum 2 years experience working in landscape, irrigation, golf course, lawn care, agriculture, or similar, preferred.

The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $51,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
