The Senior Test Systems Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining standards of components and subsystems and researching and implementing new reliability methods, test equipment, and methodologies. Improves the testing process speed and integrity. Creating test plans and conducting them on his own and/or directing others. Directs fabrication of elaborate test fixtures. Wires test units using schematics. Uses LabVIEW to create complex VI's (Control and Data program) to collect data and review with the Design and Test engineers. Writes reports and makes presentations.

What You'll Be Doing

• Research and introduce new reliability methods, test equipment, and techniques to improve test results.
• Deliver product testing innovations that increase test effectiveness.
• Maintain and develop standards for product, system, and component validation.
• Ensure standards are driven uniformly and effectively across Engineering.
• Record and document testing results in a timely manner and reviews findings with the Design and other Test System engineers.
• Direct construction of complicated test fixtures by Technicians. This includes electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drive systems.
• Read electrical and piping schematics and applies to the construction of the test.
• Create complex control and data acquisition programs (VI's in LabVIEW).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety policies.
• Operate and tune gas appliances in support of testing.
• Create, tend and report sophisticated tests. Reports all results to Engineers and making suggestions and insights on what was seen. Execute tests on products/systems.
• Assemble, install and use Henny Penny products.
• Understand blower, ignitor, combustion parameters of gas ignition fryers.
• Understand Test Agency Requirements to perform internal HP tests.
• Create Test schedules.
• Use Henny Penny Warranty systems to determine component/system failures and applies to the product under test.
• Consistently models the Company Values and Expected Behaviors.
• Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Discipline
• 7+ year's experience in a design or test environment preferred
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment to achieve results
• Advanced knowledge in computer skills such as Office and Outlook
• Advanced knowledge working with electrical and mechanical lab measurement equipment
• Advanced knowledge of electromechanical equipment
• Knowledge of NI/Labview data acquisition program
• Ability to read and understand schematics, including 3-phase
• Detail-oriented and strong creativity skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to travel and work at customer locations (sometimes on short notice)
