Summary of Role:

The ESD and Latchup development team, which is part of the Technology Enablement Group at GlobalFoundries, is looking for a summer and/or summer+fall intern to work on Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) compact models for stacked/cascaded circuit architectures.

This internship position will be working from home, any US location.

Essential Responsibilities:

Acquiring transmission line pulsing (TLP) data from switch devices with varying gate biases (SOA data) for single and N-series transistors

Fitting of ESD compact model wrapper/shell model for stacked/cascaded devices

Cadence environment spice/spectre simulation of stacked FET circuits under ESD events, model to hardware correlations

Education - MS or PhD EE student

Experience - None

Language Fluency - English

Physical Capacity Demands - None

Preferred Qualifications:

Education - Graduate level EE student

Skills - device physics, electrical engineering courses
