Staff Accountant

Our client, a global leader in transportation, is seeking a Staff Accountant on a long term, potentially contract to full time basis. In this Staff Accountant role, job duties will be heavily general ledger focused, including preparing journal entries, and account reconciliation. This position requires a solid understanding of accounting concepts and their applications, the ability to review and analyze information and to develop an understanding of the business. Skills:

• Ability to meet critical deadlines and achieve organizational objectives
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a proficiency in Excel
• ERP proficiency required, Dynamics AX is a huge plus
• ERP implementation experience a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work across departments
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills a must
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment to meet required deadlines

Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years accounting experience
• Experience working in a collaborative environment
• Accounting Degree required
• Certified Public Accountant with Public Accounting experience a plus
• Advanced MS Office Skills Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
• Familiarity with Finance and Accounting Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle or other ERP.
