Job Description

Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Sterilizing, preparing, and organizing equipment and reagents into carts trays for use during sterile test sessions
  • Cleaning and sterilizing instruments
  • Cleaning of Controlled Testing Environments
  • Maintain bacteria-free work areas and proper clean room sterility by using aseptic procedures and following all department cleaning guidelines.
  • Keep accurate records of sterilization and supply inventory
  • Preparation of media and supplies needed for Technologists to perform testing in CTEs
  • Operate sterilization equipment (i.e., autoclaves) and sonicators
  • Preparing and delivering all necessary equipment and instruments for CTEs and testing and supply carts, and supplies.
  • Controlling the inventory, reordering supplies, and checking expiration dates.
  • Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods
  • Adheres to all quality guidelines
  • Works under moderate degree of supervision
  • Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor
  • Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor
  • Comply with departmental and company safety guidelines including proper use of PPE

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Educational Qualifications:
  • High school degree or GED preferred
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience preferred
  • Demonstrated skills
  • Attention to detail is critical and need to adhere to strict procedures to prevent contamination of samples, equipment and CTEs
  • Interpersonal skills are needed to work well with others in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to safely work within an environment in which potentially infectious human blood and body fluids are present, utilizing all appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Potential Environmental Factors:
  • This laboratory carefully maintains all hazardous materials. All employees must abide by Eurofins DPT Safety and Exposure procedures. This includes using the provided safety clothing and equipment.

Additional Information

Position is full-time, 4 (10) hour shifts, working 2:00 pm - 12:30am (open to later start times if desired),with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Denver, COare encouraged to apply.
  • Compensation Range: $19.50/hr to $21.00/hr
