SUMMARY: This position is responsible for supervising the operations of a specific hatchery by monitoring the day-to-day activities as well as formulating strategies for future improvement. Other responsibilities include monitoring the incubation and hatchery equipment as well as the environmental control equipment overseeing chick deliver and pick-up and supervising personnel on a daily basis. Other duties include performing responsibilities as the need arises assigned by the manager.

All TMs are expected to abide by company policies and procedures.
The daily task expectations include: successfully passing the Zoetis vaccination handling certification within a 30 day training timeframe, handling and dispensing vaccine in accordance with Tyson and vendor Zoetis specifications, create identity tags and a transfer schedule for all flocks and machines to be processed each day and make available to the transfer team prior to the start of transfer, prompt communication between transfer team of deviations from original schedule when unforeseen events dictate, communicating with an offsite Zoetis technician in a troubleshooting process and working through minor repairs per their instruction and conducting QC checks on the vaccinating machines as well as correcting deficiencies found in the QC checks, performing ALL the process control checks during and after the transferring of eggs. Duties also include ensuring all TMs are adhering to all safety measures during process, ensuring proper sanitation is being performed, ensuring transfer machines and all supplies are properly stowed, notifying Zoetis technician as well as supervisory management of intermittent machine malfunctions, communicating to management of supply inventory low needing to be ordered (1 week in advance based on need), maintaining accurate records of vaccine mixing times, lot numbers, nitrogen levels, other task from time to time as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: College degree or equivalent education with limited experience

Experience: 2 years' experience in related field preferred.

Computer Skills: Basic Computer skills.

Travel: 1 - 2 per year.
