SUE/Survey Technician



DDS Engineering and Surveying, LLP (DDSE), is an experienced and highly qualified natural gas/civil engineering, permitting and survey firm that has been performing consulting engineering and construction services in the natural gas industry for many years. We currently perform these engineering services related to natural gas transmission, distribution main design, station design (M&R, gate stations, and regulator stations) and customer services (residential and commercial) for a variety of natural gas customers throughout the Northeast. Our dynamic team is comprised of experienced natural gas engineers, civil and mechanical engineers, surveyors, gas construction personnel as well as in-house staff expertise in the areas of legal, compliance, and safety. With flexibility in location (NY, PA, MA, CT, RI) our fast-growing energy division is seeking thoughtful and highly motivated individuals to be part of our team.

Due to continued growth, the DDS Companies has openings for Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Survey Technicians. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of services at a rapid pace both in the office or in the field in support of utility, construction, & engineering related projects.

Job Qualifications:

Skills and Experience

Required:

• Knowledge of both utility mark out (locating, subsurface utility engineering) and surveying activities.
• Familiar with Electromagnetic Induction (EMI) locating & Ground-penetrating radar (GPR) for Quality Level B work.
• Self-starter, highly motivated, and a team player
• Valid Driver's License

PREFERRED:

• Familiar with robotic total stations, base/rover & network GPS units & Carlson SurvCE.
• Experience with HDS scanners, UAV drones, or point clouds.
• Two years of related work experience
