What We Are Looking For

The Sustainability Manager is responsible for developing, deploying, and sustaining a world-class global sustainability program to improve the organization's impact on the environment by but not limited to waste reduction, carbon footprint reduction, resource conservation, and sustainable product innovation. This role leads the Sustainability Steering Committee and collaborates with Supply Chain, Product Design, Research and Development, Human Resources, Legal and the Executive Team to define a vision, a strategy, and methodologies that incorporate sustainability elements throughout the entire supply chain-design, manufacturing, and distribution of products. This role works on different high-level sustainability projects, including but not limited to carbon footprint reduction, circular economy, waste management, and sustainable product innovation.

What You Will Do
  • Works with project champions and leaders of the company to develop a sustainability vision, strategies, and initiatives
  • Researches benchmarks and deploys world-class sustainability methodologies to support the organization's strategy
  • Interacts and assists customers and suppliers in improving their sustainability and environmental impact as required.
  • Leads the Sustainability Steering Committee and presents periodic initiative status to the Executive Team.
  • Works with functional leaders to establish and integrate sustainability best practices into product designs and product-related processes.
  • Manages a global sustainability portfolio supporting the strategy, including but not limited to: carbon footprint reduction, resource conservation, waste management, and product innovation.
  • Influences and drives a sustainability culture at the source at Panduit.
  • Justifies and leads specific sustainability projects that leverage internal talent's expertise and skills, including identifying and pursuing innovation opportunities.

What You Will Bring
  • Required Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Materials, or Environmental
  • Preferred Degree: Master's Degree in a closely associated discipline
  • Years of Experience: 10 or more years
  • Years of management experience required: At least 10 years of leadership experience required. Experience overseeing a budget.
  • Required Certifications and/or Licenses: ISO 14000 Certification; Sustainability Excellence Professional (SEP) for advanced professionals, within 18 months in the position
  • Demonstrated success managing and leading a portfolio of global sustainability projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change and improvement in an organization
