System Engineer
BCforward is currently seeking highly motivated System Engineer for an opportunity in Columbia, MD

Job title: System Engineer
Location: Columbia, MD
Duration: 12+ months

Job Description:
Design, Test and Troubleshooting of LMR Radio Systems including Motorola and Harris P25 radio systems
* Programming and configuration of LMR radios including Motorola, Harris and Tait mobile radios
* Programming of Cellular Routers including Cradlepoint, Sierra Wireless and Digi routers
* Testing and troubleshooting of computer networks, CAD/AVL software, RF and electronic hardware, cellular communications systems
* Writing test procedures, system specifications, data requirements,
Some travel required to customer sites throughout the US and Can

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Computer Science
* Knowledge of computer networks, communications systems, RF systems
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Visio, PowerPoint, Project, Excel)
* Knowledge of Communications Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes and other electronic test equipment
* Excellent deductive reasoning and troubleshooting skills
* Excellent communication and writing skills
* Knowledge of SQL Server/Database queries
