The department of Central Energy Plant has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Systems Analyst to work at the UHealth Campus. The Systems Analyst analyzes and resolves computer problems, tests and implements cost-effective solutions, and provides support for the efficient daily operation of data processing systems. Additionally, the incumbent reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging, and installing, in support of the University's application systems. An employee in this position also consults with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives.

The Systems Analyst for Central Energy Plant oversees the regulatory compliance systems for UHealth and Miller School of Medicine, functioning as an independent and body that reviews and evaluates issues/concerns related to the data collection of the compliance systems and resolution of non- compliant environmental conditions.

  • Performs necessary investigation, analysis, and evaluation to determine project feasibility.
  • Collaborates with IT team and developers to produce new systems.
  • Prepares a cost-benefit analysis to determine whether the implementation of a system is financially feasible.
  • Facilitates the resolution of non-compliant spaces and equipment issues by self-resolution or creating service tickets for vendors or in-house personnel.
  • Responsible for ensuring the resolution of non-compliant issues and for the accuracy and validity of compliance data collected by our compliance monitoring systems.
  • Installs and troubleshoots wired and wireless electronic monitoring devices.
  • Works on low and high voltage systems supplying power to remote and local devices.
  • Preforms calibration of sensors and verifies correct sensor location (e.g. pressure, temperature, humidity).
  • Preforms project review for compliance monitoring projects and coordinates with vendors, building occupants, and building managers as needed.
  • Perform network management and device integration for wired and wireless devices for the compliance-monitoring system.
  • Coordinates with facility design and construction on new projects and ensures the project includes all sensors and infrastructure necessary to meet compliance-monitoring requirements for the space.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on systems as indicated by manufacturers or department guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Five (5) years of direct experience servicing and installing compliance or building automation systems.
  • Three (3) years of experience with building integration and networking tools.
  • The individual must possess valid motor vehicle operator's license as issued by the State prior to appointment,
  • The person must maintain such valid license during tenure of employment.
