The Systems Engineering position supports the integration of people, technology, organizations, environments, processes, and work systems to ensure effective and efficient outcomes. This position works collaboratively with all levels of Order Processing and Supply Chain teams to solve complex technical problems during integrations and systems conversions to our HBI standard systems. This position is also responsible for the understanding and detailed knowledge of the systems allowing them to design solutions to achieve HbI goals. The incumbent supports the customer service team by translating complex data from multiple systems into actionable information. Incumbent works both independently and collaboratively to support the flow of data for integrations and systems migration. Represents manager in meetings to make high-level strategic decisions on the required processes and provides critical leadership and knowledge as the subject matter expert in numerous cross-functional teams in all facets of order to cash management, design, and implementation. Leads the organization in process rationalization across all business units and SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Supports, standardizes, and analyzes data related to integration and systems migration projects in support of key supply chain initiates for all business channels:
    • Analyze and creates solutions for transferring data to HBI standard systems.
    • Investigates problems for root causes and provides recommended solutions.
    • Identifies and shapes for business process for data and then drives supporting actions to implement.
  • Insurance of data validity. Provides ad hoc analysis, reports, and special projects to support business decisions and to aid in the resolution of business issues as required. Engages with Production Planning, Material Planning, Sourcing, Marketing, CMG, Customer Ops, Logistics, Engineering, PMO and Procurement departments to align on key strategies and to identify and resolve data issues.
  • Lead and oversee test implementation for UAT and monitor testing activities to ensure that procedures are followed and deadlines met for OTC.
    • Investigates problems for root causes and provides recommended solutions.
    • Identify, investigate, and address failed scripts.
    • Identify testing training requirements for the Customer Service team.
    • Develop test plan for tasks, dependencies and participants required to mitigate the risks to system quality and obtain stakeholder support for this plan.
    • Document, implement, monitor and enforce all processes for testing as per standards defined by the organization.
    • Escalate issues about project requirements to PMO.
    • Attend regular status meeting and inform all stakeholders.
    • Ensure the timely delivery of the UAT testing milestone.
  • Supports the development of training tools for SAP order management and Analysis tools, and SAP business information
    • Train new hires and associates migrating to the SAP order management platform
    • Define, develop and deliver training on various SAP topics for existing users
    • Provide training materials and keep them up-to-date with system changes/enhancements
  • Responsible for the development of processes and designs solutions for specific high level plans used in collaboration with business partners in order to provide competitive advantages for sales growth
    • Identify and assesses client needs to determine alignment of unit/corporation business needs and the impact on business processes to establish strategic priorities. Advises client(s) on options, risks and cost vs. benefits
  • Prepares analytical information and develops strategic solution sets based on the information
  • Identify, design and partner with I/T to develop systematic solutions in order to mainstream processes, cut costs, accurately process orders, support all business processes, etc.
    • Develop logical requirements for functional business requirement spec development
    • Design and implement test scenarios for projects
    • Provide input into prioritization of projects
    • Adapts existing systems to achieve a balance among fill rates, lead-times and inventory objectives
  • Direct and train assigned data management and customer service, customer management and marketing / sales teams in order-to-cash SAP and BI tools
  • Aggressively drive process improvements within department and influence improvements across the organization as a whole - act as a catalyst for change
  • Responsible for adhering to applications security procedures, change control guidelines, and the business unit requirements
  • Responsible for the adherence and governance of the OTC process

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science from an accredited college or university in ISE - Industrial Systems Engineer, IMSE - Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering
  • Proficient in cross-platform data mining.
  • Perform Data Analysis and manipulation of large files in multiple environments.
  • MS Office tools - required.
  • Proven interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others in a matrix organization are critical.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
  • A minimum of four years of SAP experience with at least one year focused on SAP S/4 HANA, including SAP implementations in the areas of sales & distribution
