Position Summary

Our Talent Development Manager will work closely with our Organization’s leaders and our Human Resource Department to create strategic talent management solutions across our divisions which include Sargent Controls & Aerospace (Tucson, AZ), Airtomic (Franklin, IN) and Sargent Mexico (Guaymas, Mexico).

This is an opportunity for a seasoned leader to leverage his/her expertise to drive the talent management efforts including high potential identification and succession planning, coaching, mentoring, functional competency model creation and deployment, career pathing and development planning, all within a dynamic and changing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Know and understand the talent within our organization.
  • Assist in the creation of internal company career paths including within RBC.
  • Collaborate with leaders and HR to create succession planning, leadership pipelines and leadership development programs to make sure the best talent is trained and ready to assume the next position in their career path.
  • Collaborate with leaders and HR to determine talent gaps, align talent solutions to address needs, and strive for continuous improvement of organizational and individual performance. Research and benchmark best practices in order to provide innovative solutions to develop leaders and provide continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Establish positive employer and employee relationships to promote a high level of morale.
  • Align talent management with the company’s mission and strategic objectives.
  • As expert-advisor in talent-related strategies, provide overall direction and collaborate with key stakeholders to design and implement core talent management processes (talent assessments and succession planning) to drive near and long-term business performance.
  • Measure and monitor the effectiveness of talent management programs to ensure investments are delivering value to the company, utilizing industry data, trends and benchmarks to facilitate continuous improvement and effectiveness.
  • Assesses leadership development, team development, individual development and organizational communication programs and practices. Encourages teamwork and collaboration between departments and project teams. Facilitates team building exercise and workshops.
  • Assists and administers in career and talent assessments to employees and candidates in the interviewing process where the results of assessments will be used to fill key skill gaps. This will help identify employee readiness, talent gaps and retention risks.
  • Provide career development advice to employees and managers.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Business Administration, Organizational psychology, or a related field. Master’s degree in Organizational Development (MSOD) is a plus.
  • 7-10 years’ experience in organizational development, human resources, or related area and at least 1-3 years of management experience.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing effective development and training programs
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office
  • Strong leadership skills and coaching
  • Excellent organizational and collaboration skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, to include written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation, delivery, and facilitation skills
  • Knowledge of and experience in use of assessment tools
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong business acumen
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
