Zurich North America is hiring a Tax Clerk to join our team! We are open to hiring talent in Schaumburg, IL. In this role, under direct guidance, performs basic tax transactional tasks including preparing and distributing tax reports, check requests and maintaining the assigned tax database to ensure actions are completed to appropriate service levels or defined procedures.

In this role your responsibilities include but no limited:

• Recommends procedural process changes to enhance operating efficiency.

• Prepares, updates and/or maintains assigned tax databases.

• Organizes and accurately inputs information into tax software and databases.

• Prepares appropriate requests for movement of funds for tax payments.

• Sets up and prepares statistical reports.

• Performs various administrative tasks for the department, including coordination of IT resources.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 3 or more years of experience in the Tax Accounting area
  OR

• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 1 or more years of experience in the Tax Accounting area

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Office experience

• Organizational skills

• Ability to multi-task

• Ability to update and maintain databases

• Tax or finance department experience
