The College of Social Sciences & Public Policy - Integrated Studies Program at FSU is focused on student learning goals that guide student vision and learning attainment. To that end, we focus our efforts on providing an environment which promotes holistic understandings of complex dynamics of science, social, and humanities through the integration of various disciplinary insights and perspectives. Responsibilities

The College of Social Sciences & Public Policy invites applications for a teaching position in the field of Integrated Studies with an emphasis in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics). This is a unique position designed to integrate disciplinary educational connections for students across a wide range of knowledge areas.
The successful applicant will have a strong interdisciplinary orientation grounded in life sciences, biomedical sciences, chemical sciences, health science, physics, and mathematics.

The candidate will work with faculty in the humanities and the social sciences to perform the following:

• Create and teach courses for undergraduate majors in Interdisciplinary Studies.
• Mentor and advise students in curating meaningful interdisciplinary course paths.

Qualifications

Ph.D. or highest-level terminal degree in one of the STEM disciplines from an accredited institution and interdisciplinary teaching and research experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong sense of engagement and creativity in the classroom and online.
• Experience with contemporary instructional technology and online teaching applications.
• Commitment to and success in teaching undergraduates.
