Minimum Qualifications: Associate Degree from a regionally accreditedinstitution OR Technical Certificate plus at least two years' experience in anadministrative OR technical related field. Administrative or technicalexperience may be substituted for the required education on a year for yearbasis up to four years.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a technical or related field plustwo years' experience in an administrative OR technical related field.

General Function:  Acts as the administrative assistant to theDepartment of Technical Operations and the CIO by handling general clericalprocesses, administrative tasks, and lower tier technical issues for TechnicalOperations.


Major Dutiesand Responsibilities:
Serves as the frontline specialist for Technical Operations and field inquiries with attention to customer service and professionalism.
Maintain all departmental documents, discussions, records, meeting agendas, and minutes in accordance to Records Retention, confidentiality policies, and legislation at state and federal levels.
Support Helpdesk team in resolving tier-1 and tier-2 tickets plus routing/assigning tickets appropriately as needed.
Provide clerical support to the CIO and department including (but not limited to) requisitions, travel, supplies, and scheduling.
Oversee incoming requests for assistance and route in accordance with department and institution best practices.
Coordinates departmental meetings, events, and activities.
Send and receive shipments for the Department of Technical Operations.
Coordinate orders and successful/complete delivery of supplies with various team members including maintaining and stocking office supplies.
Coordinate with external events to understand and facilitate institutional needs from the Department of Technical Operations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge and general understanding of various technology tools and applications maintained by department including Banner end-user security; Xtender - Banner Document Management (BDM); Degree Works (GPS); and Envisions - Argos, Intellecheck, and Formfusion.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of staff and students in accordance with legislation and policy.
Knowledge and ability to facilitate clerical functions including (but not limited to) communication, records retention, purchasing, and event coordination.
Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.
