Our client, located in Midtown Atlanta, is looking for a Technical Support Specialist to fulfill a contract to hire position.

Provides software, hardware, network support, training, and troubleshooting in a networked computer environment. Provides support on a wide range of applications including Microsoft Office Products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Consult with the IT Director as required.
* Provide direct support to end users
* IT Inventory management
* Partner with stakeholders to support corporate and site level support resolution.
* Manage standard deployment of hardware/software solutions.
* Work with groups across the organization to document and implement initiatives.
* Develop technology training curriculum.
* Constantly update job knowledge
* Responds to user requests for service and determines nature and extent of support needed and installs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots a wide range of software used throughout the operation.
* Performs hardware/software upgrades to existing computer equipment as needed.
* Trains users as needed in startup, basic and advanced use of software programs including such as Microsoft Office, Windows operating system, or Apple mobile devices. May provide group training on request. Create and/or update process documentation related to IT tasks both user facing and internal use only.
* Maintains up-to-date expertise in the operation and application of the business standard software and a working knowledge of a wide variety of commonly used hardware and software.
* Assists in evaluation and testing of computer software and in planning for future needs.
* On-board and off-boarding of employees regarding equipment setup, accounts, and tracking of such tasks.
* Maintain current and accurate inventory for all IT assets.
* Work well with remote reporting structure - able to provide updates and meet with IT Manager via remote communication.
* Performs other related duties as required to accomplish the objectives of the position

Knowledge and Skills
* Requires special technical knowledge of the techniques and procedures of software, hardware, and network support for multiple users.
* Must understand installation, configuration, and troubleshooting processes for software, hardware, networking, and accessory equipment.
* Requires sufficient analytical skills to assess problems or unusual situations and develop solutions.

Qualifications
* Proven networking, hardware, VPN and application support
* Competency in O365, SCCM, Azure, Windows and MAC OS
* Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks
* Well organized
